There has been a lot of recent discussion on the rule extending the escrow period of quota liquor licenses. In the past, a quota was allowed to sit in escrow for up to two years, but in December of 2015, the Division of Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco announced the repeal of that rule. Now, there are no extensions of escrow unless your business location has been destroyed or you are incapacitated under court order.
We are working to change this law and hope to allow extensions of escrow quota licenses for up to two years. Let us know if you have any questions about the new ruling or wish to join in our efforts to change the law.
